    Job Summary

    Summary: The CAS group is responsible for Nuance’s applications that use clinical language understanding to help medical facilities optimize their operations. We implement customer interfaces and product workflows, architect Azure deployments, integrate technology from other R&D teams, and support the products in deployment.

     

    As a release engineer in the CAS group, you will be challenged with working with product managers, external partners, R&D, as well as customer support engineers to plan, define, and release product versions in preparation of testing and deployment. The candidate must understand technical dependencies when working across systems and services, which may or may not be under internal control. The candidate must be able to orchestrate version upgrades across products that leverage shared libraries, avoiding common pitfalls of incompatibility and backward compatibility. The candidate must also be able to juggle release intrusion such as security patching, customer sensitive bug fixes, and near term support requirements ahead of functional release schedules.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Track and maintain version deployment across multiple products, environments, and customer communities
    • Work with internal and external managers to prioritize software updates
    • Track product dependencies and identify incompatibilities
    • Provide direction to QA teams, ensuring proper configuration management throughout the testing cycle
    • Identify and surface regression risks
    • Define version feature set and provide release notes
    • Work with operations to actuate configuration and version changes.
    • Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for securing

       

    Qualifications

    Number of Years of Work Experience: 2-3

     

    Required Skills:

    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Prior release management experience with agile develop.
    • Git or other version management software.
    • Prior development experience in service oriented architecture.
    • Ability to work in a distributed and fast-paced environment.
    • Good skills with at least one scripting language such as Python or Perl.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Git
    • Jira including process workflow design
    • Bitbucket

    Education: BE, B. Tech., M. Tech, MCA, MCS, MCM Information Technology/Systems Engineering or related discipline.
